Moody Flowers Bedding Pattern

I saw this mock-up of my Moody Flowers pattern on bedding and it is just perfect. I just might be ordering some fabric and making myself a duvet and some pillowcases in the very near future.

This fabric is available now on Spoonflower. You can also get it as gift wrap or wallpaper. This would look lovely as an accent wall!

April Showers

Just wanted to share what I have been working on lately. A little pattern collection inspired by April Showers, which thank goodness isn’t a blizzard and 30” of snow this year. I’ve recently started creating patterns with my illustrations and I am loving the process. Except a ton more to come. This also marks Day Three of my 100 Day Challenge. I will post a weekly recap here of that as I work on it, and this new collection is part of that challenge as well!

Patterns, Patterns, Patterns!

I’ve been so obsessed with making patterns lately. It is oddly so calming, fun, and there is just something about moving shapes around until they are just right that is so satisfying!

This is another one I created using my autumn leaves clip art. It has been so much fun just coming up with different autumn color schemes. I’ve known how to make patterns for some years now, but since getting a subscription to skillshare and taking some classes on there, I feel like it was just the refresher I needed. I just recently took Jessica Swift’s pattern camp, which I recommend to anyone interested in learning more about creating their own patterns!

Happy Autumn Everyone! :)

New Art: Spring Walk

The plan was to have a video for this piece, but alas it did not come together as planned. This piece came out of left field for me, and was unexpected. I probably should go back in and clean it up a bit more, but I'm so excited to share it with you. I was able to reuse the flowers from my garden journal, which is always a surprise to me, but inspiration comes from everywhere.

The illustration was inspired by my daughters love for her baby dolls, and it reminds me so much of myself as kid. I had so many dolls, and they went everywhere. The ones that my mom saved are pretty worn out, but that hasn't stopped them from being played with once again.

Art Video: Blanket Fort

KidTent-Final-nofilter.png

I'm so excited about this illustration, it was so much fun to make. I loved making tents out of blankets, couch cushions, and anything else that was available when I was kid. It was so much to create another world inside of these forts. Once my brothers, cousins, and me created a blanket fort that spanned two rooms and a hallway, it even had places to look out that were perched higher up on the beds. It was such a blast, and we also liked to build these forts to have nerf wars as well. I'm looking forward to creating these for my kids, we already have done this a few times, but as they get bigger and we can make them more elaborate we will have so much fun I'm sure. Hopefully won't be too long until I get the next illustration and video done. This has been such a fun series to explore, and I can't wait to show you the completed Calendar when it is all done.
